Alexander has gone 9-1 against Jackson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Ironman/Ironladies at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Alexander took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Federal Hocking. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Alexander not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Federal Hocking between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Jackson got the win against Paint Valley on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Jackson's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-9.

Alexander better keep an eye on Kaylin Sheppard. She was instrumental in Jackson's win, getting 13 digs and two aces. What's more, Sheppard posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Alexander back to even at 1-1. As for Jackson, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Alexander took their victory against Jackson when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
