Venice and Palisades are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Venice Gondoliers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Palisades Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Venice knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Palisades likes a good challenge.

Venice is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Westchester on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Venice came up short against Westchester, falling 83-60. The Gondoliers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-31.

Meanwhile, Palisades hadn't done well against Fairfax recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Palisades secured a 49-43 W over Fairfax.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Palisades, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Venice came up short against Palisades when the teams last played back in January, falling 67-59. Can Venice avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
