Basketball Recap: Crescent Comes Up Short

Crescent lost against Palmetto on December 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Crescent Tigers fell 42-34 to the Palmetto Mustangs.

Palmetto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyler Ellison, who posted 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Ellison has posted since back in November of 2023. Carrigan Holbert was another key player, putting up six points along with nine boards and four steals.

Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Palmetto, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Crescent didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-14 win against Dixie on the 19th. As for Palmetto, they will take on Greenville Tech Charter in a tournament on December 27th.
