Preview: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Sky View Bobcats
The Green Canyon Wolves will be playing at home against the Sky View Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Green Canyon and five for Sky View.
Last Friday, Green Canyon faced Logan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Green Canyon fell just short of Logan by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Green Canyon has suffered yet this season.
The losing side was boosted by Layker Ward, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jared Anderson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Sky View pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-56 to Ridgeline.
Green Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Sky View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Green Canyon was taken down by Sky View 72-41 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Green Canyon was down 41-18.
