Baseball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeland can now relate to. They lost 11-4 to the Nanuet Golden Knights on Monday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Kaare Numme made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Mautone, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Nanuet, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Lakeland nor the Golden Knights have any future games scheduled.
