Volleyball Game Preview: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Farmington Phoenix

The Hillcrest Huskies will be taking part in a tournament against the Farmington Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hillcrest was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Tooele. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hillcrest took Tooele into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-27, 21-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Farmington got the win against Fremont on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Farmington was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-19.

Farmington is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
