Basketball Recap: Avery Witter Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Harford Christian

Mount Airy Christian Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 34-25 victory over Harford Christian. The win continues a trend for Mount Airy Christian Academy in their matchups with Harford Christian: they've now won three in a row.

Mount Airy Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Witter, who went 7-for-15 on her way to 16 points in addition to six steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Witter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Apolenis, who posted five points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Mount Airy Christian Academy's record is now 14-10. As for Harford Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Mount Airy Christian Academy will challenge Redeemer Classical Christ at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harford Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
