Softball Recap: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Chavez Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arleta, Vasquez was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chavez Eagles, sneaking past 6-4.
The team relied heavily on Sadie Mendoza, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Faith Nasrallah was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
Vasquez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chavez only posted an OBP of .379.
