After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, Dwyer was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Jupiter Warriors. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 9-1).
Haylee Taylor made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Taylor was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Dover, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Pratt, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Dwyer's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Jupiter, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dwyer will head out to face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Jupiter, they will venture away from home to square off against Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.2, the Cobras 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
