Basketball Recap: Newark Charter School Takes a Loss

Newark Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by the St. Elizabeth Vikings 60-23. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Vikings are ranked tenth).

Newark Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for St. Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Newark Charter School will take on Conrad Science at 6:15 p.m. on January 30th. As for St. Elizabeth, they will venture away from home to square off against Padua Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Padua Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something St. Elizabeth surely won't give up without a fight.
