Softball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Indiana Little Indians

Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 16-0 to the Indiana Little Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Little Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Wednesday.

As for Indiana, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8. 16 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Indiana's part, Kaylee Cass made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave Cass a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Maggie Cunningham was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Addie Stossel, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
