League recap: Tenoroc blown out by Lake Wales

5A District 10 recap November 5, 2013

Tenoroc lost to Lake Wales 76-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nico Gallon caught 3 passes for 30 yards in the defeat.

Auburndale made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,213 from 8,693. The advance stemmed from a 34-15 victory over Poinciana last week.

Justin Henderson was a passing and rushing force as the Highlanders bested Tenoroc.

Ryan Marell and Henderson gave Lake Wales a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Marell threw for 30 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Henderson ran for 86 yards. Teammate Shaka McGriff added to the ground attack by rushing for 43 yards.

The Eagles' Jonathan Lindstrom and Maruice Anglin have formed a dream team this season, leading 5A District 10 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Lindstrom has thrown for 1,748 yards this season, while Anglin has 32 catches for 521 yards. Henderson from Rod Shafer's team leads the league in rushing with 1,010 yards.

The Highlanders led the league in scoring this week after putting up 76 points on Micheal Burns' team. Marell ran for 34 yards in the win.
