Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Tim Burton and James Gebhardt Leads All S over Fort Worth Christian

Fort Worth Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday All S proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 41-21 victory. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Gavin Beard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 293 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 65 yards on only seven carries. Those 65 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jourden Billings helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: All S was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

All S didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tim Burton and James Gebhardt. Another thorn in Fort Worth Christian's side was Keyon Adkins, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Worth Christian lost, don't look at Kason Anding. Despite the final result, he rushed for 52 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.

All S' record now sits at 9-0. As for Fort Worth Christian, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.
