Meanwhile, Lamoille faced North Country Union in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Lamoille lost 51-30 to North Country Union. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Peoples Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Lamoille, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.
