Basketball Recap: Weatherford Takes a Loss

If Weatherford was riding high fresh off their 59-38 takedown of Mansfield Legacy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Weatherford Kangaroos fell 65-53 to the North Crowley Panthers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Kangaroos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Panthers are ranked 17th).

Weatherford's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for North Crowley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 22 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Weatherford will head out to face off against Lake Ridge at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Crowley, they will host Boswell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boswell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
