Beatty barely beat Mountain View Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Saints on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Christian Molina and Anthony Femat made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Molina pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Femat didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Beatty is undefeated when Femat posts eight or more strikeouts, but 2-4 otherwise. At the plate, Molina got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs, while Femat got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Femat has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cesar Gamboa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Beatty's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Salvador Carrillo was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Beatty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .645 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Beatty now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mountain View Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beatty beat the Saints by a score of 17-2 later that day.
