Recap: Knowledge Academies vs. Overton Bobcats
Knowledge Academies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their tough 55-35 defeat to Overton might stick with them for a while. Knowledge Academies was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.
Overton can attribute much of their success to Ryleigh Meanus, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jehmel Madison was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Knowledge Academies has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Overton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knowledge Academies will face off against Franklin Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Christian Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Overton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cane Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th.
