Basketball Recap: C. Milton Wright Falls Short of Fallston in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact C. Milton Wright can now relate to. They took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fallston Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Cougars are ranked 42nd).

Natalie Wirth was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Fallston. Wirth is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

C. Milton Wright dropped their record down to 13-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Fallston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

C. Milton Wright does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fallston, they have already played their next game, a 35-34 win against Rising Sun on the 5th.
