Volleyball Recap: Milton Panthers vs. Pensacola Tigers

It was a proper cat-fight when Milton faced off against Pensacola on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

While Milton ultimately came up short, they really made Pensacola work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 24-26, 23-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Ashley Cauley paced Milton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cauley got some help from Emma Messer and her 35 assists. Emily Hope controlled things from the service line, finishing with 12 aces.

Pensacola found their leader in sophomore Ezra Reichwage, who had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Reichwage.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Pensacola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Coming up, Milton will venture away from home to square off against Niceville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pensacola, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against West Florida on the 9th.
