Basketball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Red Oak Eagles and fell 62-21. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 69-35 to the Eagles when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Red Oak, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Preston will venture away from home to challenge Fairland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Red Oak, they will challenge Stringtown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 22.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
