Softball Recap: Russell Red Devils vs. Johnson Central Golden Eagles
Russell lost against Johnson Central back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ella Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Gabby Oborne, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Russell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Johnson Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
