Baseball Recap: Miller City Takes a Loss

The Miller City Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Fairview Apaches on Monday and fell 8-7.

Miller City's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Fairview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Miller City and Fairview are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wildcats will head out to challenge Montpelier at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miller City's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Locomotives have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against Cincinnati Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
