Baseball Recap: Lake Quinault's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Lake Quinault finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the Darrington Loggers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Elks were not able to get on the board.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Quinault fell to 5-1. As for Darrington, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Coming up, Lake Quinault will square off against Mary M. Knight at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Darrington, they will face off against Quilcene at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Loggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rangers have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
