Soccer Recap: Widefield Triumphs

Widefield barely beat Elizabeth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Widefield Gladiators' defense stepped up to hand the Elizabeth Cardinals a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. Lizzy Brown was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The victory got Widefield back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Widefield is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Sand Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabeth, they will head out to challenge STEM School Highlands Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
