Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Falls Lake

Falls Lake had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Henderson Collegiate Pride with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Falls Lake was: they took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-6, 25-2.

Falls Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maggie Penn, who had seven digs and six aces. With that strong performance, Penn is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game. Addison Buffaloe was another key player, getting ten assists and seven aces.

They weren't the only good server: Falls Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in ten consecutive contests.

Falls Lake's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Henderson Collegiate, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Falls Lake will welcome Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Henderson Collegiate, they will head out on the road to face off against Discovery Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
