Baseball Recap: Roaring Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Moffat County on Saturday, Roaring Fork came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the North Fork Miners by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Miners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Roaring Fork has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for North Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Roaring Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-7 loss against Aspen on the 7th. As for North Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-4 win against Meeker on the 10th.
