Baseball Recap: West Park Panthers vs. Nevada Union Miners

West Park can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Nevada Union Miners. The victory was just what West Park needed coming off of a 13-0 loss in their prior matchup.

David Ortez tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Ryan Sisson and Christopher Fisher did most of the damage at the plate: Sisson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI and a triple, while Fisher scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Pajcin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base.

On Nevada Union's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Pinney, who went 1-for-4 with a triple and a run.

West Park now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Nevada Union, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
