Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Tullahoma's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Tullahoma's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Central Magnet a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Amaya Sharp looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Goad, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last six times she's played. Kylee Holt was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Tullahoma kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive games.

Tullahoma is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Central Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Coming up, Tullahoma will welcome South Pittsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central Magnet, they will take on Lawrence County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.79 runs per game on average), something Central Magnet will no doubt try to take advantage of.
