Football Game Preview: Tavares Bulldogs vs. Belleview Rattlers

The Tavares Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Belleview Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tavares has given up an average of 26.2 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Tavares' offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Mount Dora on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Hurricanes. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Belleview got themselves on the board against The Villages Charter on Tuesday, but The Villages Charter never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Buffalo with a sharp 21-0 victory. The Rattlers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Belleview pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Tavares, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
