It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Illini West can now relate to. They fell 5-2 to the Macomb Bombers on Wednesday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Illini West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Sparks, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Illini West's defeat dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Macomb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-14 record this season.
