Basketball Recap: Altavista Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Altavista's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Dan River Wildcats 56-34. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-10.

Dan River's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liza Maxey, who posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Katie Evans, who scored seven points and five rebounds.
