Baseball Game Preview: Albert Lea Tigers vs. Northfield Raiders

The Albert Lea Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Northfield Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Albert Lea's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Northfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Albert Lea blew John Marshall out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday John Marshall got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 6-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Easton Schewe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Graham Goskeson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Northfield didn't have quite enough to beat Kasson-Mantorville on Friday and fell 3-2. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Albert Lea, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Albert Lea might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Northfield in their previous meeting on April 10th. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
