Georgia McConnell Game Report: @ Independence

Cuthbertson was sadly handed a loss on Tuesday, but Georgia McConnell did her best to prevent it. McConnell turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, McConnell and Cuthbertson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ardrey Kell at 5:30 p.m. The Cavaliers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Knights thanks in part to McConnell: she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.
