The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Westwood Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln Park Academy will be strutting in after a win while Westwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln Park Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Tradition Prep. Lincoln Park Academy's defense stepped up to hand Tradition Prep a 25-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lincoln Park Academy's defense and their eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kendal Cunningham and Erica Clairveaux, who racked up seven sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Westwood played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 28-6 to Central.

Lincoln Park Academy took their win against Westwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-0. Does Lincoln Park Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
