Basketball Recap: Converse Comes Up Short

Converse lost against Northwood back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Converse Wildcats fell 43-36 to the Northwood Gators.

Northwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Tinsley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, Tinsley is now averaging an impressive 2.6 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Jahari Mccoy, who posted 15 points.

Converse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Northwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing St. Mary the next time they take the court. Converse will head out to face St. Mary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while Northwood will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
