Mountain Vista faced Chaparral in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Wolverines, posting a 40-6 win. Fans of the Golden Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Ariana Akey was her usual excellent self, throwing for 210 yards and six TDs, while also rushing for 85 yards on only six carries. Akey is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Mountain Vista didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Chaparral to a completion percentage of just 41.4%.
