Baseball Game Preview: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Bowling Green Bobcats

For the second straight game, Springfield will face off against Bowling Green. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m.

On Monday, Springfield needed a bit of extra time to put away Bowling Green. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bobcats 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Springfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cale Whitmire, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits Whitmire has posted since back in April.

Bowling Green is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
