After a string of four wins, Tintic's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manila Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Tintic had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22.

Tintic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Manila, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Tintic is set to take on their familiar foe Rich at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Manila will face off against rival Wendover at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
