Softball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackman Blaze. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly three runs.

Montanna Arel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lashaundra Fleming, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Blackman, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

As of now, neither Riverdale nor the Blaze have any future games scheduled.
