Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Indians vs. Tuslaw Mustangs

The Northwest Indians will square off against the Tuslaw Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Northwest didn't have too much trouble with Minerva as they won 47-30. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Lions are ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tuslaw got the win against Triway on Monday by a conclusive 59-33. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Tuslaw has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Northwest, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Northwest didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tuslaw in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory.
