Volleyball Recap: West Clermont Takes a Loss

West Clermont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Batavia Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

West Clermont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Batavia work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 27-25.

West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Batavia, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Clermont will welcome Winton Woods at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Batavia, they will host Western Brown at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
