Preview: Comenius Knights vs. Riverwalk Academy Lions
The Comenius Knights will be home for the holidays to greet the Riverwalk Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Wednesday, Comenius had to suffer through a rough 98-53 loss at the hands of Charlotte Elite Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Comenius in their matchups with Charlotte Elite Academy: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Riverwalk Academy had to endure a 19-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 63-55 win over Midlands STEM Charter on Monday. Riverwalk Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Comenius has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Riverwalk Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.
Everything came up roses for Comenius against Riverwalk Academy in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 82-16 victory. Will Comenius repeat their success, or does Riverwalk Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
