Basketball Recap: New London-Spicer Comes Up Short

New London-Spicer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Montevideo Thunderhawks 78-51. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Thunderhawks are ranked 32nd).

New London-Spicer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Montevideo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.
