Baseball Recap: Warren Township Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Warren Township extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 12-6. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mundelein Mustangs, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since March 20th.

As for Mundelein, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 25th.

For Mundelein's part, Elijah John was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Ryan Wolverton and Maddox Solum did some serious damage despite the final result: Wolverton went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Solum went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Weiss, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
