Baseball Recap: Cedar Ridge Wins Going Away Against Vandegrift

Cedar Ridge not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th. Everything went their way against the Vandegrift Vipers as they made off with a 15-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Matthew Fletcher made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Fletcher was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Hudson Hartgrove was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Kasen Langerhans was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cedar Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 13-6-1. As for Vandegrift, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.

Cedar Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vipers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
