Soccer Recap: West Holmes Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, West Holmes was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the Dover Crimson Tornadoes. While losing is never fun, West Holmes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 427th, while Dover are ranked 194th).

West Holmes' goal came courtesy of Oliver Hiller, who's now up to six this season.

West Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Dover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Holmes will host Shenandoah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dover, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Tuscarawas Valley at 5:00 p.m.
