Basketball Recap: Greendale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greendale can now relate to. They came up short against Racine Park on Saturday, falling 95-72. While losing is never fun, Greendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Racine Park is ranked tenth).

Jaxson Moss continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Racine Park, going 10-for-16 en route to 25 points and six steals. The match was Moss' fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Robinson, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals.

The loss snapped Greendale's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-10 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.5 points. As for Racine Park, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

Greendale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Racine Park, they will take on Greenfield on Thursday. One thing working in Greenfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
