Basketball Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 71-64 to the Roy Royals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jesse Jones, who posted ten points along with six assists and six boards. Tripp Randall was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Clearfield's record now sits at 2-11. As for Roy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10.

Clearfield will head out to challenge Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bountiful knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Clearfield likes a good challenge. As for Roy, they will take on Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
