Softball Recap: Corbett Comes Up Short

Corbett fell victim to Banks and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Braves. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Corbett dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 4.75 runs. As for Banks, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Corbett nor Banks have any future games scheduled.
