Basketball Recap: St. Helens Takes a Loss

St. Helens has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seaside Seagulls on Wednesday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Seagulls earlier this season, when they won 56-23.

St. Helens' defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Seaside, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

While St. Helens had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
